The Cloth Parcel

Wednesday, January 30, 2013

I've been working with Audrey from The Cloth Parcel over the past few days to introduce you to some fabulous products.  Audrey is the sister of my husband Tim's best friend so needless to say we love their family! I've asked her to tell you guys a little bit about this new company and how she got started.

"The Cloth Parcel is an online quilt shop that I started with my mom just a couple of months ago.  We wanted to have a website that had all the coolest new fabric, easy project kits for beginners to quilting and sewing, fun patterns that we write ourselves, and a variety of unique craft supplies and sewing notions.  Our website continues to grow every week as we finish writing patterns, putting kits together, and get new shipments of fabric and supplies."

Some of our very favorite items are:
-Scarf and Ruffled Denim Flower Kit: This kit comes with a scarf and the supplies and instructions to make a ruffled flower accessory to go with it.

-Riley Blake's The Sweetest Thing Fabric: We sell this complete line of fabric in fat quarter (18"x22") pieces, which is a great size to get into sewing with.  There are a ton of free sewing and quilting patterns online that use fat quarters, and we love all the fun prints in this line, from polka dots, to flowers, to chevron stripes.

-Japanese Wind-Up Felt Doll Kits: These complete kits are a little more difficult than our beginner patterns, but they are so cute!  Wind these little guys up, and they wobble all around the place. The animals remind us of Russian nesting dolls (Matryoshka), and the tiny details on the fairy tale characters are so charming.

Audrey also sent me one of their lavishea bars. These are amazing. One of the things that I hate most when I am crafting is that the fabric tends to dry out and irritate my hands. These lavishea bars are ultra hydrating and help heal dry, cracked hands. You just take the bar in your hand and rub it between your palms and the heat of your hands will melt the bar right into your skin!

The best part? They don't transfer any grease onto your fabric like lotion does. I chose the lemongrass one and it smells so good. I'm definitely keeping that bad boy in my purse.

P.S Today I am guest posting over at Northern Belle Diaries. If you haven't met Lisette ..you must! She is such a sweetheart and one of my blogging buds. I'll be sharing some of the biggest lessons I have learned in my short few months of marriage.
