Looking Back at Summer

Sunday, September 28, 2014

I can't believe summer is over! Mostly because I'm in California and there are no signs of Fall on the horizon here. I'll just have to pretend my fan blowing at night is a cool fall breeze. :) Our summer was definitely jam packed full of activities. Just the way I like it!

June
  • Sent off my parents to Puerto Rico for their 18 month service mission right after sending my brother to Argentina for a 2 year service mission.
  • Drove down the Pacific Coast Highway to visit our friends in LA. We had our first experience vacationing with friends. Sharing a hotel room wasn't actually as weird as I thought it might be!
  • We also spent lots of time in San Francisco playing in the city!
  • Tim left his job at Google.
July
  • We drove to Utah to spend the 4th of July with Tim's family.
  • Lived up unemployment and my break from school by making a super last minute trip to New York City, Philadelphia, Washington DC, and Richmond, VA.
  • I turned 24!
August
  • Tim started his new job at Visa in San Francisco.
  • Tim's family came to visit and we did allll the touristy stuff. Angel Island, Alcatraz, Fisherman's Wharf, seafood galore, Half Moon Bay...it was amazing!
  • Hung out with lots of friends before I started my last semester. My friend Kirsten from KNW Photography took some fun photos of us.
  • We spent tonnnnns of time at the beach. I think we went to Half Moon Bay every weekend for 4 weeks straight. Whoops!
How was your summer? What was the best part? Are you ready to jump into fall?

  2. I am so jealous that you moved to San Francisco. It is mine and my husbands favorite place to travel to.

  3. I've been so out of the loop! When did you move to NorCal?! It's def been way hotter and longer than usual - I've NEVER experienced the heat up in SF like last weekend! Also I've lived in CA my whole live and never done the trip all the way up (or down PCH). Jealous!!
