New Years Wishes!

Wednesday, January 1, 2014

I can never decide if I love or hate New Year's resolutions. I think the idea of setting goals for yourself is awesome but at the same time I think we are much too hard on ourselves when we don't reach those goals. For that reason I decided to be a bit more vague with some of my goals this year but hope to stick to others.

Last year our big goal as a couple was to be frugal and be smart with our money. I am happy to say we blew our goal out of the water! We decided we wanted to save x amount of money and almost doubled our goal. We were able to live off of about half our income and we were able to follow through. I think that was a great way to kick off the start of our marriage and I am so glad we were able to do so.

Last year I don't think I created quite enough spiritual goals for myself and I definitely want to change that this year. I want to make companion prayer and scripture study a much bigger priority in our lives. We also decided we really need to make more time to go to the temple. I am a firm believer that the more spirituality you add into your the more it will reinforce your marriage.

Our last goal is a fun one. We want to add more adventure into our lives. We have been brainstorming some pretty exciting things. We are crossing our fingers that all works out so that we can add this big adventure into our lives. If plan A doesn't work out we will have to figure out something out. But whatever happens we are going to have an adventure! I can't wait to share our plans with you all!

Hope you all had a happy New Year's Eve! We spent ours bouncing between a few different parties with great friends. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. We definitely had a lot of fun!

Because I am the worst at remembering to take pictures here is a picture of us at the start of our adventure. This was the first picture we ever took together when we started dating. You can tell I am crushing just a bit ;-) Cheers to a year of adventure!!
