Sunshine & The Birth of Franklin

Monday, May 13, 2013

We have been having the most gorgeous summer weather here in Salt Lake City! It's almost like we completely skipped spring. Today was 93 degrees. I went outside for a couple minutes to give myself a break from studying and I just cooked. So stinkin hot. I secretly love it though.

Since Tim and I are renting an apartment attached to a home it is kind of weird to go outside since the family is usually out and about out there so we have been going to the park a lot! It has been so gorgeous.

Oh yeah. Don't let me forget to tell you that I gave birth to a baby boy names Franklin! Apparently this is how the experience went.

You keep thinking about Franklin's dramatic birth! After about eight hours of labor, Franklin began to go into distress. The doctors said the baby was not in the correct position. They did a C-section, and ten minutes later you were looking at your new baby. You were awake but sedated during the procedure, but you both were able to hold Franklin after a little cleaning up. The Apgar score was 7-8. After Franklin was born, you felt the biggest surge of emotion that you have ever had. When you held Franklin in the delivery room you were amazed that you and your partner had brought this new being into existence.

Doesn't he look just like me?? :)

  3. LOL Ok WHAT!? I feel like a missed something. Is this the new thing to do? What is an Apgar score? If the virtual baby doesn't look like you does that mean you were hacked? so funny. sorry if this is something serious. lol

  8. hahaha the virtual child. It is so pretty there! McKay and I spent so much time at that park in Rexburg when we were there and those are some of my favorite memories. Now we live like near the ghetto so there are no pretty parks by us haha. I am jealous of you. I seriously want to meet you (in person) when we are in Utah!
