Okay I'm too excited to hold it in any longer. I've got some exciting news!
I'm going back to school!
I stopped going to school after I got my associates degree because I had no clue what I wanted to do career wise with my life. I was an elementary education major but just couldn't see myself in that career. I didn't want to get a degree in something I didn't really want to do. I took some time off and worked for a couple years before I figure out what I wanted to do. I've always LOVED skin and have been fascinated by it. I decided to move to Utah and go to school to get my master esthetician license. I finished that but feel like I want to do more with my esthetics license. After a lot of talking things over with Tim, thinking and praying... off to school I go!
I am all applied at the University of Utah for a communications major! Don't worry, Im still a Cougar fan. ;) I'm so excited to see what opportunities will lie ahead of me with this new opportunity in my life. I'll be able to work as an esthetician while I finish school and then hopefully have bigger and better things open up as soon as I'm finished! I couldn't be more excited. Woohoo!
Congratulations! That is really great! Best of luck!

DeleteOh hey! Join the club! I am going back to school too. I've seen your button all over the place and don't know how I missed you. You are the cutest thing ever. Oh, and your husband? He looks SUPER familiar. Like I swear I know him from somewhere. Is he from Utah? Did he ever go to USU? Hmm...I'm determined to figure this out. And excited to learn more about ya and your schooling in the near future. Wahoo!

Tim is from Perry, Utah so pretty close to Logan! I know when he was in high school he played a couple shows in Logan...hmm. He went to BYU though. Hmm..! :)
DeleteGood luck going back to school! :)
Hmm. I don't know. He just looks so ridiculously familiar! I don't know how. I have some friends from Perry. Maybe he knew them. Whooottt.
DeleteI'm a new follower of yours and I already enjoy reading your stuffs ! Congratulations on your decision of going back to school. I know that's not easy once you got in the working world. I pretty much did the same thing. Went to college in Modern Language, didn't really liked it and my life took a turn I wasn't expecting.. So I quitted school and took some time to think about what I wanted to do. I'm a waitress for now but I'm going back to school in event planning to be one day a wedding planner :) Good luck with that and I hope you finally found what you are made for!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to have you following along! Event planning would be super fun!
DeleteCONGRATS! Excited for you! I'm a communications major, too! It'll open up LOTS of future career opportunities for you!

Congratulations on going back to school! I think it's great to go after what you want. It's never too late to change your mind. I mean Julia Childs didnt start cooking until she was like 37!
