We are finally home from our trip to Boston and New York City. We had such a great time but now are adjusting to getting back into our routine. I'll give you all a quick update to catch you up on what we have been up to this week.
Tim headed back to Utah on Easter morning after our big Easter egg hunt and I headed home the following Tuesday. I noticed I had a layover in Denver (where my family lives) and called my mom joking that I could just get off the plane and pay them a visit. She said that she and my dad were actually heading to Utah on Thursday so I decided to get off the plane in Denver! It was fun to surprise my family and spend a couple days with them.
As you can tell you drive through Wyoming is VERY scenic ;)
Thursday night we showed my parents our new apartment and went on a long walk around our neighborhood. I was so excited that the grass had turned super green while we were gone. Hopefully spring is here for good!
Friday night Tim and I headed to his mission reunion from his 2 year LDS mission in Alaska. It was fun to catch up with all of his old mission buddies and their wives.
Saturday all of my female relatives got together to throw a baby shower for my cousin Katherine while all the men attended the priesthood session. Her little girl is so cute. I got a serious case of baby hunger between holding her and my niece this weekend.
The proud mama in the middle. The three of us are all within a year of each other. Love being so close to my cousins!
Cutest great grandmother ever, right?
Awe the little one is adorable! :)

that's so fun that you got to see your family! and that you got to hold a brand new little babe. it's hard not to get baby hungry when they're so teensy and perfect.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like some really great family time! And really nice that you were able to spend so much time with your parents! Welcome back!!!
