Blessing in Disguise
Last week Tim sent me a text asking if he could call me and told me that it was important. I couldn't think of what the news could be. He called me a few minutes later and informed me that his position at work had been eliminated at work due to budgeting. I was pretty shocked considering he had only been working there a year and things were going really well. The next few days were pretty rough. The hardest thing was not being able to tell anyone about it. We spent a lot of those days in prayer trying to figure out what to do. Tim started looking for other jobs and also applied for some internally. He got a couple interviews and we anxiously awaited to hear of any news. We were relieved when Tim secured a position on another team in the same company, at the same office. It looks like this is an even better fit for Tim and he is looking forward to the change. Isn't it funny how the Lord can bless us in round about ways? Anyways, we are thankful that Heavenly Father knew what He was doing and was looking out for us. It has been a very stressful few weeks but we feel incredibly blessed!
In other news I got to meet up with some fun other local bloggers. We had a great time chatting while eating some yummy food. :)
such cute ladies! sorry to hear about tims job, but so happy an even better one at the same place came along :)
ReplyDeleteI managed to make a weird face or pose weird in every single picture I took that night! I'm not sure what my deal was hahaha. I'm so glad that we met in real life! :) And I am so glad Tim's job situation got figured out! I can only imagine how stressful that would be. They were eliminating Joe's position at the beginning of this year and he was pretty upset about it, even though they were giving him a place to go (basically he got a demotion and a raise, a little random) and we started thinking about options and what we were going to do.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, I love your necklace!

It's amazing how God can take those bad things and turn them into blessings!
ReplyDeleteSuch an inspirational story! The Lord knows best :) I'm so happy for you both!
ReplyDeleteSo glad things worked out. And I'm so happy I got to meet you! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's so funny how God flips us over and then turns us around to a better path...love it!
ReplyDeleteI had no idea, Kelsey! Isn't it just awful??! I am glad that he was able to find another job so quickly. Shawn hasn't been so lucky, and therefore we are still praying 24/7! It's very stressful. I am glad Tim found his new job, and sorry that we were pestering him about Shawn's job application during his stressful time!
