Boston Trip: Episode 2

Wednesday, April 17, 2013

I am finally getting around to posting about the second part of our trip in Boston! We had such a fun time with Ben, Emily and the kids. We can't thank them enough for being so gracious and letting us stay with them for nearly 2 weeks!

I'd say the highlight of our sightseeing was going on a Duck Tour. It was so much fun and a great way to see a lot of the big sights. The busses ride around town and then turn into a boat and take you for a ride in the Charles River. So fun!

As a thank you for letting Tim's sister and her family let us stay with them nearly 2 weeks we treated them to Cannoli Day!

Those are our cannolis on the counter. I think that was about 2/3 of them!

The kids had crazy hair day at school. I could not stop laughing as we walked around downtown Boston. The kids got lots of comments and compliments on their hair do's!

After the duck tour we went to the farmers market at Copley Square. So much fun and so huge! We got a lot of great produce to snack on.

Brigham always does the funniest things during group pictures. You never know what you're going to get. During our family wedding pictures he desperately wanted to hold my wedding bouquet. So funny. You can see it in the picture below.

Tim went home on Easter sunday and I stayed an extra day because of how things worked out with our frequent flyer miles. If any of you know my sister in law, Emily, you know that she is incredibly selfless. She was teaching piano and guitar lessons all day and also watched a bunch of kids for a woman who went into labor early. I took the kids to the park and definitely learned that I don't think I could ever have this many kids. It was chaos but a lot of fun! And yes, there are more kids in the stroller ;)

  1. So much fun to see all the pictures--makes me homesick for the Castletons and Boston.

  2. Oh man, when I lived in Boston I always hated the Duck Tours, because they'd drive past when I was walking somewhere and quack at me, lol.

I think I was just jealous, because I never got to go on a Duck Tour. Sad day.

It looks like you had so much fun, though!! Boston holds a special place in my heart.
