Weekend Recap
This weekend was definitely a fun one! It snowed literally ALL weekend. Thick, wet, heavy snow. All of our plans included traveling so sadly we witnessed way too many car accidents and crazy drivers on the freeway.
We spent Friday night in Perry, where Tim's parents live. We had so much hanging out with Tim's parents and his sister Ari, her husband, Ben, and their 2 little ones. I am so in love with those little girls. They have definitely stolen my heart along with my other darling nieces and nephews!
I attended a women's conference at church with Tim's mom and his sister. I chose three classes to attend and they were all pretty good! The first one was about "superglueing" your marriage. I learned some great tips to enhance my marriage. I realized how important it is to regularly compliment your spouse. hold hands, say "I love you" and take time out of the day to put all your other distractions away and focus just on each other.
The second class was about how to dress modestly while still looking fabulous. I was excited that the instructor used Little Miss Fearless, Cats and Cardigans, and Clothed Much as examples. I met Amanda from Little Miss Fearless at a blogger meet up a few months ago and she is so nice and sweet! I have probably read every post of Brandilyn's from Cats and Cardigans. Needless to say I am a huge fan of her blog and think she is so awesome. Elaine is a blogger who compiled a website (Clothed Much) where you can find tons of modest fashion bloggers. How fun is that?
The other class was a stress management class although I think I learned more about thyroids, antidepressants, and hormones that managing stress. Haha!
That night we drove up to Bountiful for my Grandma's 70th birthday party. I LOVE my extended family so much and love every chance I get to meet up with them. I can't believe my grandma is 70. She seriously has 10x more energy than I do and does SO much. She and my grandpa served a 2 year mission in Haiti, and two other local missions. Not to mention they are CONSTANTLY serving everyone around them. They are basically superheroes. I am so lucky to be so close to my Grandma. She is basically my 2nd mom. I feel like I could talk to her about everything. Happy Birthday!!
This photo is on our wedding day with my Grandma and Grandpa. How cute are they?!
Sounds like a good weekend minus whatever you learned about how to "deal" with stress! haha!
