But within the last few years I've realized that this is me and this is my body and I'm healthy. I still notice if I lose any weight (from being sick or something) and try to put it back on to maintain my normal weight :) You can do it! Great advice in the comments above about what to eat and what not to eat (ie sugars and junk). I've found that I actually gain healthy weight when I exercise more because it makes me hungrier! And you build muscles. Good luck!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13422110311411403261noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7176732153504182362.post-72303847636735870452013-01-09T11:18:25.511-08:002013-01-09T11:18:25.511-08:00Ugh. This year, we want to have another baby and I NEED to gain some weight before I get pregnant. When I was pregnant with Jax I lost a ton of weight and I am about 20 pounds smaller than I was when I got pregnant with him- so losing a ton of weight with the next baby would NOT be healthy! Of course I can't say, oh ...I am the same way!
Of course I can't say, oh no, I'm too skinny, because no one wants to hear that. So I tell my husband. I literally said this to him yesterday
Me-"B, my jeans are too big"
Hubs-"whoa, yeah they are super baggy"
Me-"They're Double Zeros, I can't get them any smaller"
Hubs-"Better not say that too loud, chicks will jump you"
I'm 5'4" and I'd guess I weigh right around 100 lbs right now. I am gluten intolerant and lactose intolerant so I eat a lot of lean proteins and veggies, but lately I've been losing weight and, obviously, my pants don't fit.
Anyways, you're the first real person I've been able to sympathize with! But I've also seen how hard it can be. One of my cousins had a really hard time growing up because kids would call her anorexic and stuff. It was really hard to see her have to deal with it. If there's one thing I use as an argument against my friends (who think I'm skinny enough) is that there is a difference between skinny fat, and skinny FIT! I want to be skinny fit. I'm 120... but 5'2". So I could do with a little less fat and little more muscle or leanness. My husband is obsessed with learning about being healthy and eating good fats and lots of weight gaining/muscle building protein, so that is really helpful for me! BUT i am 5 whole inches shorter than you and it definitely wasn't as cute on me as it would be on you! i hope you have nothing but good luck with this! again, i don't know this particular struggle, but i TOTALLY understand the emotion and frustration related to weight. i have faith in you! and be sure to remember to gain good weight! (i know a girl that is trying to gain weight so she can get pregnant and all she eats is total crap. like Little Debbies by the box and candy by the bag and ice cream all the time and an entire box of Krispy Kreme doughnuts in a day) but the truth is, once you create a fat cell, you cannot very easily get rid of it. you can only shrink it. and the more fat cells you have the harder it is to lose weight. mostly i'm just telling you this because i wish i had the balls to tell this other girl that if her hormones or metabolism ever change and she ends up in a position where she needs to lose weight-she will be screwed. i'll stop writing a book now. GOOD LUCK!
